Not feeling very talking today or this week really. But, in the spirit of Halloween, check this site out The Dungeons. I particularly like the flash dungeon experiences, really well done and very informative.

I have now taken this test twice and I still come up with the same answer so I guess it really must be true..

Click here to find out what robot you really are

anyway, what's up with this weather? it was nice, 65 for highs for a couple days and chilly at night and today back to over 70 degrees.. i really really dislike warm/hot weather, especially in october.. and people that have heat on when it's 70 out piss me off too.. i hope it gets cooler and stays there..

I was thinking about a comment Brian made to me last night, that he had to inspire himself. It got me thinking about the nature of inspiration and that it really is spontaneous. I used to get mad at myself when I couldn't write the poem I wanted to because I thought I was doing something wrong. That I wasn't doing the things to put myself in the creative/emotional space I needed to so I could write. Now when I think back I realize there wasn't anything I could have done differently. Usually sparks come when we least expect them, a flash of a poem or story, an image you want to draw, etc. Trying to force something, in my opinion, never works. That's not to say waiting around for something to come is the answer either. I want to write so that's why I keep a journal here and on paper, because it's writing practice. I do agree with the people that say if you want to be a write then write a little every day whether you think it's crap or not. And I think having a creative space is important, a space where you have things that inspire you around, pictures, words, music, whatever. Of course everyone's creative space will be different, and I think it's also important to realize the distractions we let ourselves fall into that stop us from doing what we want to do (for me it's usually television or getting sucked into the web).

Anyway, I didn't mean for this to sound like instructions on how to be creative, I just wanted to voice my thoughts on creativity.

ok, after many unsuccessful attempts, i have determined that previous updates i made which were posted but not published have been eaten.. from now on i'm copying all my entries into notepade just in case.. so starting fresh i'm going to attempt to post at least once a day, even if it is short..

i'm in a place i don't want to be right now and have been trying to make the best of it but thankfully it appears i'll get to go home tomorrow.. not that home's much better but anything's better than this.. and going home means being able to see Brian which i very much am looking forward to..

lots of stuff has happened since my last update, too much to go into detail and some i don't really want to speak about.. i saw tori amos in DC on October 6th... great concert, very heavy on the Venus and Choirgirl songs which are great but i was in a Boys For Pele mood that night.. ah well, Tori plays what she wants and it was great to hear her at all.. lately she's been playing some great setlists though, go over to The Dent and check them out..

lately when i've been home i've been watching Star Trek:TNG on TNN which just started in syndication there.. i love this show and it's great that i get to see all the one's i've missed.. and on that note, i know some people found his character annoying but Wil Wheaton's journal is a great, intelligent read..

been taking a lot of online quizzes lately, a few curtious of Dreama's Journal... First, Drug Selector to find out your drugs of choice..
also, What Star Wars Personality Fits You?.. and my favorite, What Robot Are You Really?...
There's also The Hobbit Name Generator but be warned, it only works in IE for some reason..

i realize all this stuff isn't very personal, and i do have personal things to say but not at the moment.. all this concern over anthrax does have me worried because i'm on two major university campuses on an almost daily basis.. but, i do agree that we shouldn't panic, we should just be careful and aware.. that's really all we can do..
